This formula targets hair loss from multiple angles: stimulating growth, reducing DHT activity at the scalp, improving absorption, and supporting follicle health.
Minoxidil 5%: growth stimulation
Dutasteride 0.3%: DHT reduction
Tretinoin 0.01%: absorption support
Cetirizine 1%: scalp inflammation support
Caffeine 1%: follicle support
Regrows lost hair by widening scalp blood vessels and extending the active growth phase of hair follicles.
Blocks up to 90% of DHT production by inhibiting both type I and type II 5-alpha reductase enzymes.
Boosts minoxidil absorption by up to 3x and activates the enzymes needed to convert it into its active form.
Reduces scalp inflammation by suppressing prostaglandin D2, promoting healthier hair growth conditions.
Stimulates follicle cell metabolism and extends the active growth phase while protecting against oxidative stress.
Built for men who want targeted treatment without a daily pill.
Best for:
Step 1 — Start with a clean, dry scalp. For best absorption, apply to a towel-dried or fully dry scalp. Avoid applying immediately after washing while hair is still wet.
Step 2 — Dispense the cream. Press the pump once to dispense a pea-to-dime-sized amount onto your fingertip. One full pump is typically enough per application area. Your prescriber will advise exact dosage based on your treatment plan.
Step 3 — Apply to the affected area(s). Using your fingertips, gently massage the cream into the thinning or receding areas of the scalp. Spread evenly across the treatment zone. Avoid applying to unaffected areas.
Step 4 — Wash your hands. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water immediately after application. Avoid touching your face, eyes, or other parts of your body before washing.
Step 5 — Let it absorb. Allow the cream to fully absorb and dry before lying down or styling your hair. This typically takes 15–30 minutes. Do not rinse or wash the treated area for at least 4 hours after application.
WHEN TO APPLY Apply once daily, preferably at bedtime. Consistency is key — try to apply at the same time each day.

Most patients begin to notice reduced shedding within the first 4–6 weeks. Visible new growth typically appears around the 3-month mark, with more significant thickening and density improvements between months 4–6. Full results develop over 9–12 months of consistent daily use. It's worth noting that some users experience a brief shedding phase in the first few weeks — this is actually a positive sign that the formula is pushing old, miniaturized hairs out to make way for new, thicker growth. Stick with it. The patients who see the best results are the ones who stay consistent.
Rise is applied topically, which means the active ingredients are delivered directly to the scalp rather than systemically throughout the body. This significantly reduces the likelihood of side effects compared to oral medications. That said, some users may experience mild scalp dryness, flaking, or irritation during the first few weeks as the skin adjusts — particularly due to the tretinoin component. This typically resolves on its own. In rare cases, users may notice temporary increased shedding in the first 2–4 weeks, which is a normal part of the hair cycle resetting. Tretinoin can also increase sun sensitivity on the scalp, so we recommend wearing a hat or applying SPF if you spend time outdoors. If you experience persistent irritation or any unusual symptoms, contact your provider.
Our standard formula is designed for patients in the earlier stages of thinning — where hair miniaturization has started but there's still solid follicle activity to work with. The extra strength formula increases the concentration of key active ingredients for patients with more advanced thinning or those who haven't responded to standard-strength treatments alone. Your provider will recommend the right strength based on your stage of hair loss, how long you've been experiencing thinning, and your treatment history. Both formulations use the same five clinically backed ingredients — the difference is in the dosing, not the approach.
Rise contains five active ingredients, each targeting a different mechanism of hair loss. Minoxidil 5% increases blood flow to the follicles and extends the active growth phase. Dutasteride 0.3% blocks up to 90% of DHT, the hormone responsible for follicle miniaturization. Tretinoin 0.01% boosts absorption of minoxidil by up to 3x and activates the enzymes needed to convert it into its active form. Cetirizine 1% reduces scalp inflammation by suppressing prostaglandin D2, a molecule shown to inhibit hair growth. Caffeine 1% stimulates cell metabolism inside the follicle and has been shown to counteract the suppressive effects of testosterone on hair growth. Together, these five compounds work synergistically — addressing blood flow, hormonal damage, inflammation, absorption, and cellular energy in a single daily application.
Most over-the-counter products rely on a single active ingredient — usually minoxidil alone at 5%. That's a good start, but it only addresses one piece of the puzzle. Rise combines five clinically studied ingredients into a single compounded formula, each one targeting a different cause of hair loss. You're not just boosting blood flow — you're also blocking DHT at the source, reducing scalp inflammation, supercharging ingredient absorption, and energizing follicles at the cellular level. On top of that, Rise is a prescription-grade compounded formula, meaning the concentrations are optimized by a provider based on your specific needs — not a one-size-fits-all product sitting on a shelf. The difference isn't subtle. It's the difference between treating one symptom and addressing the full problem.
